Western Cape promotes live streaming to boost Cape Town film industry

The KwaZulu-Natal government has set aside a little over R32 million to fund film production and development projects, and a further R1, 6 million to support local film festivals during the year.
The funding is an acknowledgement of the growing socio-economic role of the film industry to the Durban and greater KZN areas.
It also indicates an awareness that the local film industry has suffered serious setbacks due to Covid-19, and Government’s financial support will help kickstart the film industry’s recovery efforts.
The grant will be administerd through the KwaZulu-Natal Film Commission (KZNFC)
