Making locations safe for shooting during Covid-19

The South African film industry is keen to resume filming, on locations and in studios, once our Covid-19 lockdown regulations are relaxed. We’re hopeful this will start happening in the next few weeks.

Naturally, we’re figuring out how to work safely, mindful of the Coronavirus, while we’re in the same space with cast, crews, and clients.

Johannesburg and Cape Town Film location agent Cherry Picked have kicked off the discussion, from a location perspective, with a short survey that gathers suggestions about how production companies can do this – from deep cleaning the location before and after shooting, to restricting certain spaces to essential cast and crew.
